Announcements for Saturday & Sunday, February 6 & 7, 2021 Fifth Sunday in Ordinary in Time
1. Welcome to St. Genevieve Catholic Church, my name is _______________, I will be your lector for today's Mass. Out of respect for God and your fellow parishioners please turn off or mute all cell phones and other devices.
2. If you are a visitor or new member to our parish, please stand and allow us to welcome you. (Pause) Only if someone stands, continue to read after any applause. Please sign our guest book in the main entrance of the church.
3. It is mandatory that everyone wear a face covering during all masses. Please do not remove face covering anytime during mass except to consume the Eucharist. If you need a mask, please see one of the Ushers.
4. Official Parish Taxable Donation letters are now available by calling the Church Office Monday through Friday from 8:30 until 4:00pm. A letter will not be sent out unless you request it.
5.Ash Wednesday is February 17. We will have morning mass at 8:00am with disposition of ashes, a 12 noon service with disposition of ashes only and a 7pm Mass with disposition of ashes.
6. During Lent we offer Stations of the Cross each Friday at 1:00pm and 7:00pm. Also, confessions are available in all Archdiocese of New Orleans Parishes on Wednesdays March 10, March 17, and March 24.
7. It's that time of year again; Time for the Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Frys! From Friday, February 19 through Friday, March 26 enjoy a delicious fried fish dinner for $10. Due to Covid-19 protocol, service by drive through only.
8. When sending mail to St. Genevieve, please use the mailing address, which is the Office address, found on the front of the bulletin. Thank you.
9. The office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, February 15 & 16 in honor of Mardi Gras. During these times of Coronavirus, we pray that you play it safe and have a private family Mardi Gras celebration. Feel free to send us your pictures of the unique ways you "Let the Good Times Roll" for Carnival. Be safe and have a blessed holiday.
